How do you like my
Makeup?
After the body was sanded and primed, filled and sanded
and so on until every ripple was perfect, it was off to the
Algonquin College spray booth.
After the final primer coat was
sprayed, a white base coat was
applied.  This was done to create the
white stripes.
Then, the white stripes were masked off
and on goes the blue.
After the first coat has dried, or
flashed, another coat of blue is
applied until the desired look and
coverage is achieved.
The finished base coat is now rubbed
down to remove any imperfections
before the clear coat is applied.
All done.  Multiple coats of base and clear
coat have been applied.  After a polishing
treatment the body will be ready to mount
on the chassis.
