| With the heart in the beast it was time to hook up the electrodes and get it pumping. But just like in the operating room, that sounds easier than it actually is. Firstly, Malberg, a custom built driveshaft and u-joint assembly is installed. Next, because of the position of the engine and where the side exhaust pipes exit the frame, we need to design a new header, exhaust and collector system. Campbell Ford helped out with a set of Chromed Mustang headers that we installed backwards to send the exhaust towards the front of the car. Then, the fabricators at Lecavalier custom built a set of 3" exhaust pipes and collectors to hook the headers up to the side pipes. Now comes the custom built radiator pipes, throttle linkages and much more. Hundreds of feet of wiring, tubing, hoses and all sorts of fittings and we are ready to crank it up. |
