Nurse, I need a
scalpel!
Now comes the fun part.  Have you ever tried to fit a square peg into a
round hole.  Being as careful as can be, we hooked up over $10,000
worth of automotive engineering onto our hoist and carefully slid it
into its new home.  Like everything that you build without the aid of
robotics, things don’t always fit exactly.  We were pretty lucky as
most of the mounts and bolt holes fit perfectly and with a slight bit of
elbow grease we were able to fit the last mount bolt in.
From left: Bill (Holding the hoist), Daryl (behind
the hoist), Tasha, Tatiana, and Marcin
With the space frame not allowing for much
manoeuvring room, sliding the engine and tranny
combo into place took the whole team’s
involvement
When all else fails, brute strength will fix it
What ever you do, don’t let go of the hoist
