Heart Surgery
After removing the 302 engine out of the donated 86 Crown Victoria
wagon, it was stripped and sent to Engines Extra for complete
rebuilding.  They acid washed the block, rebored the cylinders .030
over, balanced the crank and much more to get it ready for a host of
new parts.
Once the block was ready, Jean Paul re-installed the upgraded
cam-shaft.  Then came the newly balanced crank and then the
performance piston and rings
Jean-Paul of Engines Extra shows how to
install a camshaft in the completely rebored,
cleaned and painted 302 block
Next, he installs the balanced crankshaft with
new bearing and seals
The block is now ready to receive the new
Hastings notched pistons and rings
Jean-Paul teaches the kids about the
pistons and rings before he installs them
The block is now complete.  New pistons, rings,
bearings, seals and more have been expertly
installed into the 302 block which was bored
.030 over stock.  Now it is time to install some
shiny stuff.
